This Oceansouth universal, full-cover outboard motor cover protects the entire engine – from the engine head to the lower unit and gear housing – during transport, trailering, and storage. The cover is suitable for select 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines from brands including Mercury, Mariner, Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, and Evinrude.
The product is available in several size variants for engines from up to 3.5 hp and all the way up to 350 hp. The verified fit dimensions range from approximately 126 to 254 cm in circumference and from 98 to 210 cm in height. A long-shaft version is also available for engines with a 30" shaft. The power range is for guidance only, as the engine's model, design, total height, circumference, and shaft length determine the correct fit.
The cover is made from 100% woven ATLAS™ marine polyester with a material weight of 340 g/m², PU coating, a water column of at least 1500 mm, and UV protection of UPF 50+ with a measured value above UPF 80. The fabric is waterproof, UV-resistant, and developed for protection against rain, sun, salt spray, dust, and dirt. The ATLAS material also has a light and weather fastness rating of 6–7, chlorine resistance of 4–5, and oil repellency of 4.
The soft, felt-like inner lining reduces the risk of marks and scratches on the engine paint caused by friction. Reinforced, top-stitched, and sealed seams support durability in a maritime environment. A heavy-duty #10 nylon zipper with a reinforced closure profile opens the lower section, while an adjustable drawcord around the engine mounting helps ensure a snug fit.
The cover is intended for protection during transport and storage and is not a ventilated cover for use during engine operation. Always check the engine's actual circumference, total height, model, and shaft length before purchasing.
