This Oceansouth ventilated outboard motor cover is specifically form-fitted for the 2021 model year Suzuki DF115BG and DF140BG. The white cover protects the outboard motor's top cowl and can remain on during navigation and engine operation.
Integrated mesh vents and precise cutouts around the engine's air intakes ensure the necessary airflow while the cover is fitted. The model-specific fit follows the contours of the cowl and accounts for operational details such as tilt and trim switches. The cover is manufactured from ATLAS Marine Grade fabric in 100% high-tech polyester with a fabric weight of 340 g/m² and a PU coating. The ATLAS fabric has UPF 50+ UV protection with a measured value above UPF 80, light and weather fastness grade 6–7, and a tensile strength of approximately 2,200/1,400 N in the fabric's two directions. The fabric also features chlorine resistance grade 4–5, water repellency grade 100, and oil repellency grade 4.
The cover is installed directly over the cowl as a slip-on cover. An elasticated marine hem and a dual rope buckle system secure it around the base, while double-stitched and reinforced seams increase the construction's durability. It protects against sun, salt spray, water, dirt, debris, scratches, and minor impacts, while the ventilation helps reduce moisture buildup.
Clean the cover with a soft brush, lukewarm water, and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh detergents and chemical cleaners, which can damage the UV coating. Allow the cover to air dry, and ensure it is clean and completely dry before long-term storage.
