Model-specific outboard cover from Oceansouth in white for Suzuki DF250AP and DF300AP outboard motors from 2012 onwards. The cover is custom-fitted to the contours of the engine cowl and covers only the engine head, not the midsection or lower unit.
The ventilated design is intended to remain in place during engine operation and while underway. Integrated mesh vents and custom cutouts ensure free airflow around the engine's air intakes, while the design accommodates contours and operating features such as tilt/trim buttons.
The cover is made of 340 g/m² ATLAS Marine Grade polyester fabric with a PU coating. The fabric is breathable, UV-treated, tear-resistant, and water-resistant, while a soft felt lining on the inside protects the cowl surface from scratches and scuffs. The custom fit also reduces wind flapping and the risk of the cover working itself loose.
An elastic hem wraps around the engine cowl, and a dual-fastening system with cord locks keeps the cover in place during transport and at speed on the water. Double-stitched and reinforced seams contribute to a robust construction in high-stress areas.
The ATLAS fabric has a documented hydrostatic head of at least 1,500 mm and a UV protection factor of UPF 50+. The fabric's tensile strength is approximately 2,200/1,400 N, light and weather fastness is grade 6–7, and water repellency is grade 100.
Clean the cover with a soft brush, lukewarm water, and, if necessary, a mild detergent. Avoid harsh detergents and chemical cleaners, and let the cover air dry completely before long-term storage. A compatible full-length cover can be installed over the ventilated cover when the entire engine needs to be covered; item nos. 46.552.04 and 46.552.05 are verified full-length variants for 25-inch and 30-inch shafts, respectively.
