Round deck hatch cover from Oceansouth is designed for round deck hatches with a nominal diameter of Ø 500 mm. The cover protects the hatch lens and surrounding components against sunlight and general marine weather exposure, for example while the boat is moored or in storage.
The cover is made of blue ATLAS Golden Range fabric in 100% dope-dyed high-tech polyester with a fabric weight of 400 g/m² and a PU coating. The fabric is UV-resistant, water-repellent, and breathable. The breathability reduces condensation buildup under the cover, while the UV protection is rated UPF 50+ with a measured value above UPF 80.
The material has a water column of at least 1,500 mm and a tensile strength of approximately 2,200 N and 1,400 N in the fabric's two directions. The documented elongation is approximately 40% and 30% in the corresponding directions.
A wrap-around drawstring with a Sure-lock cord lock constitutes the windproof fastening system. The design allows the cover to remain secured around the hatch whether it is open or closed.
