This Oceansouth sun shade with telescopic poles for T-Top and hardtop is a removable shade extension in navy blue for boats with an existing T-Top, hardtop, or Flying Bridge roof. The shade has a longitudinal length A of 260 cm, a width B of 200 cm at the rear, and a width C of 170 cm at the front. The tapered shape provides a covered area that follows the geometry of the boat's roof and deck.
The set is constructed with two stainless steel telescopic poles that are placed in existing fishing rod holders. The poles can be adjusted from 1.3 to 2.0 m, allowing the headroom to be adapted for seated or standing use. The front adjustable straps secure the shade to the T-Top or roof frame, while the rear straps are led from the telescopic poles to suitable cleats or railings. Installation requires no drilling or tools.
The sun shade is made of 310 g/m² ATLAS marine fabric in 100% polyester with a PU coating. The fabric is waterproof, water-repellent, UV-resistant, and breathable. The water column is at least 1,500 mm, and the UV protection is UPF 50+ with a measured value above UPF 80. The fabric also has a light and weather fastness of 6–7, color fastness to rubbing of 4–5, chlorine resistance of 4–5, and proven water and oil repellency.
The tensile strength of the ATLAS fabric is approximately 2,200 N in one fabric direction and 1,400 N in the other, while the elongation is approximately 40% and 30%. The structure can be used open at boat speeds of up to 20 knots. When shade is not needed, the cover can be removed and folded to take up less space during storage.
Delivery includes the fabric shade, two stainless steel telescopic poles, and polyester straps. Compatibility is installation-based and requires an existing T-Top, hardtop, or Flying Bridge roof, suitable fishing rod holders, and appropriate rear attachment points.
