This T-Top sunshade extension from Oceansouth extends the shaded area beyond an existing T-Top or suitable hardtop. The black MA 049-1BK variant measures 137 × 121 cm and is designed as a free-standing solution without support poles down into the cockpit or deck area.
The sunshade is made of 220 g/m² ATLAS polyester with a PU coating. The fabric is waterproof, water-repellent, UV-resistant, and breathable, as well as resistant to mold and mildew. It has a water column of at least 1,500 mm and a UV protection factor of UPF 50+, measured at over UPF 80. The trapezoidal canvas is 137 cm wide at the stern, 104 cm wide toward the bow, and 121 cm long.
The set includes the canvas, adjustable stainless steel telescopic poles, and polyester straps. The telescopic poles are placed in the T-Top’s existing rod holders, while the straps are attached to the frame. The angle of the poles can be adjusted so the shade aligns with the T-Top or hardtop.
Installation requires no tools or drilling and can be performed on the water in approximately two minutes or less. The extension’s universal mounting requires at least two existing rod holders with an angle of approximately 75–90°. Rod holders are not included. If the boat lacks suitable holders, optional clamp-on rod holders are available: 21153 for 1¼" tubing and 21152 for 1¾" tubing.
The extension can be quickly removed and stowed after use. It is rated for use at up to 20 knots and comes with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty.
