This T-Top Sun Shade Extension from Oceansouth extends the shade area from an existing T-Top, fixed boat roof, or Flying Bridge roof. The black version has a length of 180 cm, a maximum width of 150 cm, and a minimum width of 120 cm, giving the shade a tapered shape.
The sun shade is mounted using two stainless steel telescopic poles with an adjustment range of 1.3 to 2.0 m. The poles are placed in the boat's existing rod holders, while the front straps are attached to the T-Top frame. The aft straps are led from the poles to existing stern cleats or rails, allowing the shade to be tensioned.
Assembly and disassembly can be done on the water without tools or drilling. The adjustable height makes it possible to adapt the setup to the boat's existing roof and attachment points. When the sun shade is not in use, the construction can be folded and stored compactly.
The shade is made of 310 g/m² ATLAS fabric in 100% technical polyester with a PU coating. The fabric is waterproof and water-repellent, UV-resistant, and breathable. It has a water column of at least 1,500 mm and UV protection of UPF 50+ with a measured value above UPF 80.
The sun shade extension can be used deployed at speeds of up to 20 knots. The set consists of a fabric shade, two stainless telescopic poles, and polyester straps. Compatibility depends on suitable rod holders and appropriate attachment points on the existing T-Top or boat roof.
