This universal boat cover for seasonal and winter storage from Oceansouth is designed to protect boats from rain, dirt, weathering, and UV radiation. It is available in several sizes for boats with a length of approximately 400–640 cm and a maximum width of approximately 205–260 cm, depending on the chosen variant.
The cover is made of breathable and UV-resistant PE cover fabric with a material weight of 160 g/m². Selected variants are 100% waterproof. It can be used on open, covered, and semi-covered boats as well as boats with or without a windscreen and with a center or side-mounted steering console.
The design features an elastic hem, marine-grade fastening eyelets or fittings, and twin rope cleat attachments, allowing the cover to be tightened securely around the boat. An opening at the bow provides space for a bowsprit or anchor. The cover is manufactured without metal parts and without coarse, abrasive internal seams that could scratch the boat's surface. A fastening kit is included, and depending on the variant, tie-down straps, trailer straps, and a storage bag may also be included.
When choosing a size, the boat must be measured over the highest parts – not just by the nominal length and width of the hull. Measure approximately 20–30 cm below the bow to approximately 20–30 cm below the stern, as well as from side to side under the gunwales. Windscreens, biminis, roofs, rod holders, and other protrusions must be included in the measurement. Boats with a cabin or high windscreen may require a larger size.
The cover is suitable for seasonal storage, long-term storage, mooring, and light trailer transport when securely and correctly fastened. At speeds over 60 km/h, two additional light tension straps over the bow are recommended, as well as regular checks of the cover and fastenings; these are not included. Sharp and protruding parts should be covered with soft padding. Clean with mild soapy water.
