Oceansouth vented outboard cover for Honda outboard motor is a model-specific cover for the engine cowling of the Honda BF350 V8 4.9 L with 350 hp from model year 2024. The grey Atlas variant is form-fitted to the engine's cowling and protects the engine cover during storage, transport, and operation. The cover is not a full-length cover for the engine leg.
The vented design features custom openings around the engine's air intakes, vents, contours, and tilt/trim buttons. The engine can therefore be operated with the cover fitted. The tight, model-specific fit minimizes wind impact, while a dual rope lock system secures the cover during transport and while on the water.
The cover is made of Atlas Marine Grade Fabric with a surface weight of 340 g/m². The fabric consists of 100% polyester with a PU coating and is water-resistant, breathable, and UV-resistant. It has a proven hydrostatic head of at least 1,500 mm and UPF 50+ UV protection. The material's breathability minimizes moisture accumulation, while the outer fabric protects against sun, water, dirt, and debris.
A soft felt lining on the inside protects the engine cover from scratches and scuffs. Double-stitched, reinforced seams increase the construction's durability, and the elasticized marine hem provides a snug finish around the lower part of the engine cowling. The cover is fitted by pulling it down over the cowling and tightening the rope lock system.
For cleaning, use a soft brush, lukewarm water, and if necessary, a mild detergent. Harsh cleaning agents and chemical detergents should be avoided as they can damage the UV treatment. The cover must be air-dried and clean and completely dry before long-term storage.
