This Oceansouth custom-fit outboard motor cover for Suzuki is a black, vented version for Suzuki DF115BG and DF140BG from the 2021 model year. The cover protects the motor cowling during navigation and engine operation and can also be used during storage on the boat, at the dock, in the garage, or outdoors.
The model-specific fit follows the contours of the cowling and features precise cutouts for features such as air intakes and controls like tilt/trim switches. Integrated mesh and ventilation openings maintain the necessary airflow, allowing the cover to remain in place while the engine is running.
The cover is made of Atlas Marine Grade 100% polyester fabric with a weight of 340 g/m² and a PU coating. The material is breathable, water-resistant, and UV-resistant, with a water column of at least 1,500 mm and a UV protection factor of UPF 50+. The soft felt lining on the inside protects the surface of the cowling from scratches and scuffs.
The construction features double-stitched, reinforced seams and a marine-grade elastic hem. The cover is pulled over the cowling and secured with the elastic hem and a dual cord lock system. The Atlas fabric has a light and weather fastness rating of 6-7, a tensile strength of approximately 2,200/1,400 N, and an elongation of approximately 40/30% depending on the material direction.
The cover is designed for four-cylinder Suzuki DF115BG and DF140BG four-stroke engines with a 2.0-liter displacement from 2021 onwards. The shaft length reference for this variant is 20 inches. It covers the cowling and is not a full-length cover for the entire outboard motor.
