This custom-fit outboard motor cowl cover for Suzuki from Oceansouth is a white, ventilated version for Suzuki V6 4-stroke 3.6 L DF200, DF225, and DF250 models from 2003 onwards. The cover protects the engine's top cowling and may remain in place during engine operation and sailing. It is not a full-length cover for the engine and shaft.
The model-specific fit follows the contours of the engine cowl and features custom cutouts around air intakes and relevant control points. Integrated mesh vents ensure the necessary airflow during operation. The cover is fitted over the engine cowl using a slip-on mounting and is secured by an elastic hem as well as a dual rope lock system, which minimizes wind flap and helps keep the cover in place.
The cover is made of ATLAS Marine Grade fabric in 100% dope-dyed polyester with a PU coating and a fabric weight of 340 g/m². The fabric is breathable, tear-resistant, UV-resistant, and water-resistant with a proven water column of at least 1500 mm. The UV protection factor is UPF 50+, and the material is rated above UPF 80.
Double-stitched and reinforced seams contribute to a robust construction. A soft felt lining on the inside protects the surface of the engine cowl against scratches and scuffs. The cover also protects against sunlight, moisture, dust, dirt, salt and water spray, as well as minor surface damage, while the breathability of the fabric helps reduce moisture accumulation.
The fit is intended for Suzuki DF200, DF225, and DF250 with V6 4-stroke 3.6 L engines from 2003 onwards with the verified 25-inch shaft length. For engines with replaced or non-standard engine cowls, the cowl design should be checked before ordering. The manufacturer part number for this white version is S05-VW.
Clean the cover with a soft brush and lukewarm water. Mild soapy water can be used for general dirt, while strong detergents and chemical cleaning agents should be avoided. Let the cover air dry, and ensure that it is clean and completely dry before long-term storage. The corresponding black, ventilated version has item no. 46.542.12. A black full-length cover for the same engine group with a 25-inch shaft is available as item no. 46.552.07 and can be fitted over the engine while the ventilated cover is on the engine cowl.
