This Oceansouth outboard motor cover for Suzuki outboard motors is a form-fitting and model-specific cover that protects the engine's upper cowl or housing against sun, UV radiation, rain, salt spray, moisture, dust, dirt, scratches, and loose objects. Choose the variant that fits your specific engine model and year.
The ventilated design with integrated mesh openings and model-specific cutouts ensures airflow around the engine's air intake and relevant control elements. The cover can therefore remain in place during engine operation and sailing. Some variants are non-ventilated storage covers and may only be used when the engine is turned off.
The cover is made of tear-resistant ATLAS Marine Grade polyester fabric with a material weight of 340 g/m². Depending on the variant, the fabric is PU-coated, breathable, water-resistant, and UV-resistant with UPF 50+ and a documented water column of at least 1,500 mm. Selected fabric variants also have light and weather fastness of grade 6–7, tensile strength of approximately 2,200/1,400 N, elongation of approximately 40/30%, chlorine resistance of grade 4–5, water repellency of grade 100, and oil repellency of grade 4.
A soft felt lining protects the surface of the engine cowl from scratches and scuffs. A marine-grade elastic hem, double-stitched and reinforced seams, and a strap, buckle, toggle, or cord lock system provide a tight and stable fit, reducing wind impact and the risk of the cover coming loose. Some variants feature an integrated lifting strap.

The variants fit selected Suzuki models, including DF2.5, DF4A–DF6A, DF8A/DF9.9A, DF15A/DF20A, DF25A/DF30A, DF40A–DF60A, DF70A–DF90A, DF100A–DF140A, DF115BG/DF140BG, DF150/DF175, DF150AP–DF200AP, DF200–DF250, DF250AP/DF300AP, and DF300B–DF350A. They cover the engine head and not the entire lower unit. Always check the engine model, model year, and cowl design before purchasing.
Maintenance
Clean with a soft brush, lukewarm water, and optionally mild soapy water. Avoid strong detergents and chemical cleaning agents. Let the cover air dry completely and only store it when clean and dry.
