This Oceansouth custom-fit outboard cover for Suzuki is a white, ventilated model for Suzuki DF40A, DF50A and DF60A from 2010 onwards. The cover protects the motor head and its decals and can remain on during sailing and motor operation.
The motor-specific fit follows the engine cowling closely and features integrated mesh and ventilation openings positioned according to the engine's air intakes. The cutouts account for the engine's shape and operating details, including tilt and trim switches. The snug fit also reduces wind resistance and the risk of the cover working itself loose at speed.
The cover is made of 100% high-tech ATLAS Marine Grade polyester fabric with a surface weight of 340 g/m² and a PU coating. The fabric is breathable, UV-resistant and has a water column of at least 1500 mm. The UV protection is UPF 50+ with a measured value exceeding UPF 80.
The soft felt lining reduces the risk of scratches and scuffs on the engine cowling. Double-stitched, reinforced seams prevent tearing and fraying, while the elasticized marine hem and dual cord locks secure the cover around the motor head.
The cover protects against sun, UV exposure, water spray, salt, dirt, dust, birds and fish hooks. It is suitable for both use and outdoor storage on the boat or at the dock. The product covers the motor head only and is not a full cover for the entire outboard motor.
Clean the cover with a soft brush, lukewarm water and, if necessary, mild soapy water. Avoid strong detergents and chemical cleaners, which can damage the UV coating. Let the cover air dry, and ensure it is clean and completely dry before long-term storage.
