Oceansouth vented outboard cover for Honda outboards is model-specifically tailored to the engine's upper cover, cowling, or top cowl. The cover protects against UV radiation, rain, salt spray, dust, dirt, scratches, and general weathering. It does not cover the motor leg, gear case, or propeller, and is therefore not a full-length cover.
The snug fit follows the contours of the engine cover, air intakes, and relevant controls such as tilt and trim switches. Integrated mesh ventilation openings support air circulation, allowing the cover to remain in place during engine operation and sailing. The breathable construction also helps limit condensation and moisture buildup.
The cover is made of ATLAS Marine Grade fabric in 100% polyester with a PU coating and a fabric weight of 340 g/m². The material is breathable, water-resistant, UV-resistant, and has a proven water column of at least 1,500 mm as well as UV protection of UPF 50+ with a measured value over UPF 80. Depending on the variant, the fabric is also documented with light and weather fastness of grade 6–7, tensile strength of approximately 2,200/1,400 N, oil repellency, chlorine resistance, and water repellency.
A soft internal felt lining reduces the risk of scratches and scuffs on the painted engine cover. Double stitching and reinforced seams increase durability, while an elastic marine hem and Twin Toggle Cleat, cord lock, or integrated strap system hold the cover securely in place. On smaller engine variants, the strap and handle system can also function as a carrying harness.
Compatibility includes the Honda BF2.3, BF4/BF5/BF6, BF8/BF9.9/BF10, BF15/BF20, BF25/BF30, BF40/BF50, BF60/BFP60, BF75/BF80/BF90/BF100, BF115/BF135/BF140/BF150, BF175/BF200/BF225/BF250, and BF350. Engine variant and model year must always be verified, as the fit varies between generations.
Clean with a soft brush, lukewarm water, and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh detergents, chemicals, and abrasive cleaning. Allow the cover to air dry completely and store it clean and dry.
