Oceansouth Waverider height-adjustable and shock-absorbing boat seat pedestal is a telescopic seat column for helm, passenger, and fishing seats in boats. It is available in several height ranges: 370–450 mm, 500–630 mm, and 580–710 mm. All variants are supplied complete with seat top and removable dome base.
The height is adjusted by a gas spring, while the built-in suspension and shock absorption reduce the impact from waves and rough seas. The seat top can rotate 360°, the rotation resistance is adjustable, and the top can be locked in a fixed position with the side handle.
The telescopic column is made of anodized aluminum with column diameters of Ø75/65 mm. The seat top is made of reinforced nylon/fiberglass, while the UV-treated dome base is made of reinforced nylon for the marine environment. The materials are intended for use with saltwater, freshwater, and UV exposure.
The nominal 7" seat top has universal, adjustable mounting holes and slots and fits Oceansouth boat seats as well as many boat seats from other major manufacturers. The design is intended for light to medium-weight boat seats. The dome base is 100 mm high, has a diameter of Ø228 mm, and six attachment points. The mounting geometry includes a hole circle of Ø203 mm and mounting holes of Ø8.5 mm. The seat top measures approximately 177 × 170 mm with mounting distances of approximately 130 × 130 mm.
The column can be lifted out of the base when the seat needs to be stored or deck space needs to be cleared. An additional dome base with item no. 48.707.30 can be used for another mounting position. The side handle is supplied with an Allen key and must not be overtightened, as this can affect the gas release function. The product comes with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty.
