Telescopic boat seat pedestal from Oceansouth's Waverider series for mounting boat seats where height adjustment, rotation, and shock absorption are desired during sailing. The height can be adjusted from 440 to 570 mm using a gas spring.
The internal shock absorber absorbs loads and impacts when the boat moves through waves. The seat mount can be rotated 360°, and the swivel resistance is adjusted with the side handle. The handle can also be tightened to lock the seat in the desired swivel position.
The telescopic pedestal is made of anodized aluminum and has tube diameters of Ø75/65 mm. The seat mount is made of UV-treated, glass fiber-reinforced marine-grade nylon, while the flat recessed base is made of reinforced nylon. The outer diameter of the base is Ø228 mm, and the seat mount measures approximately 177 × 170 mm.
The pedestal can be pulled out of the fixed base without removing the base itself. This allows for freeing up deck space and facilitates storage when the seat is not in use. A round nylon cover is included for the empty base. The base has six mounting points; always check the supplied base and the relevant mounting drawing before cutting and drilling.
The seat mount has a universal hole pattern for various boat seats and is compatible with Oceansouth boat seats as well as many seats from other major brands. The kit is delivered as a complete unit with a swivel seat mount, telescopic pedestal, flat recessed base, and base cover. An additional compatible recessed base can be ordered under item no. 48.707.20.
