The expanded wireless capabilities of Oregon 700 make it easier than ever to update software, receive smart notifications1, check weather radar2 and upload adventures to Garmin Connect. You can even share LiveTrack location data or geocaches via Wi-Fi or smartphone. Smart notifications via Bluetooth connectivity with a compatible smartphone lets you receive email, text messages and alerts right on your device. So you can see what’s happening when you’re away from it all. Comes standard with a dual battery system that lets you use traditional AA batteries or a rechargeable NiMH battery pack.

Oregon 700 provides comprehensive navigation and tracking features to guide you on and off the beaten path with GPS and GLONASS, plus altimeter, barometer, and compass (ABC sensors). The built-in altimeter provides elevation data so you can accurately monitor ascent and descent, while the barometer is used to predict weather changes by showing short-term fluctuations in air pressure. The three-axis electronic compass keeps you on course whether you’re moving or not. There’s also a TracBack® feature on Oregon 700 that helps you navigate back to your starting point along the same path you came. You can also mark locations, such as your campsite, vehicle, or other points of interest, that you’d like to navigate back to.
Crystal clear display
Oregon 700 features a bright, anti-glare 3" reversible color touchscreen. It easily supports multiple map options, such as BlueChart® g2 HD for navigation on the water or City Navigator® for turn-by-turn directions (optional). The Oregon series is rugged and water-rated to IPX7. It's built to deliver accurate mapping and tracking data, no matter what the elements throw at you. You can also customize your Oregon's display with free downloads from the Garmin Connect IQ™ online store3.
Plan your next trip
Take charge of your next adventure with BaseCamp™ software, which lets you view and organize maps, waypoints, routes and tracks. This free route planning software also lets you create Garmin Adventures that you can share with friends, family or other adventurers online. BaseCamp displays all the topographic map data stored on your device on your computer screen, including contour lines and elevation profiles. The program can also download a virtually unlimited amount of satellite imagery to your device from the included BirdsEye Satellite Imagery subscription.
