Orion 500 is a smooth double-braided polyester rope with a 16-plait polyester cover and 8-plait core, which provides good abrasion resistance and easy handling. A popular all-round rope for many tasks on board.
The rope has moderate elongation, does not float and is spliceable. Suitable for, for example, mooring, anchoring, and as a utility line on deck where you want a robust polyester rope with a stable grip.
