Surface-mounted battery switch for manual disconnection of the battery circuit in marine electrical installations. The switch is rated for a maximum of 250 A continuous current and a maximum short-term current of 2200 A for 5 seconds.
The model is mounted directly onto the surface without recessed installation. The base measures 70 × 70 mm, and the switch projects 75 mm from the mounting surface. The electrical terminal studs are specified at 10 mm.
Operation is performed using a removable snap-fit key. The key can be removed from the switch, while the dense, waterproof design is suitable for demanding maritime environments. No specific IP rating is provided.
The battery switch is EU type-examined as an ignition-protected component for use in engine and/or fuel tank compartments in recreational craft. It complies with EN ISO 8846:2017 and is covered by EU Directive 2013/53/EU as well as CE marking requirements. The EU type-examination certificate bears the number DIP009925Y2/002 and is issued by RINA Services S.p.A., notified body no. 0474.
