This oversize PVC insert for fender profile is the white, flexible outer profile in a modular fender and rub rail profile system for marine use. The insert is supplied as a 24 m roll and is mounted in the separate anodized aluminum profile with item no. 44.485.10.
The oversize version has an external cross-section of 33 × 21 mm. The cross-section drawing also shows a lower or inner span of 24 mm. The rounded, partially hollow profile forms the external flexible part of the system along the boat's hull.
The insert is made of flexible PVC and is supplied in white. It is a separate component and not a complete fender profile. The compatible aluminum base 44.485.10 has dimensions H 38 mm and A 9+5 mm and is supplied separately in 3 or 6 m rods.
When mounting, the soft PVC profile can be heated in water at a maximum of 80 °C for approximately 20–60 minutes, depending on the profile cross-section. The profile can be stretched slightly during installation, but the stretch should not exceed approximately 2% of the total length.
Matching end caps are available for the complete profile system: black plastic 44.479.03, white plastic 44.579.03, chrome-plated brass 44.485.01, and stainless steel 44.484.01. The end caps are used with the overall system consisting of the aluminum base and PVC insert.
