Description
Garmin Panoptix: Get ready to redefine the word “sonar.” Panoptix opens up a new world for serious anglers. While traditional sonar shows history—what you’ve already sailed over—Panoptix gives you a real-time look underwater: Watch fish swim through the sonar cone… see exactly where a school of fish is in relation to your boat… follow your bait as it heads toward your boat and watch the fish react to it! Panoptix is technology that’s unique to Garmin—unlike anything you’ve ever seen. It’s all built into the transducer itself, which simply plugs into the network port on a compatible chartplotter.
Panoptix comes in two main versions: Down and Forward. With Panoptix Down you have the option to choose between three presentations:

LiveVü™ Down
Real-time moving sonar images. Shows fish swimming around the boat – and your bait – in real time.
RealVü™ 3D Down
See everything that is happening around the boat, even when you are lying still – in 3D.
RealVü™ 3D Historical
Used to locate fish when your boat is moving. Shows the entire water column you have passed in 3D from bottom to surface with all the fish in between.
