Garmin Panoptix FrontVü forward-facing sonar
FrontVü forward-facing sonar helps you avoid grounding¹
Narrow cone width focuses directly in front of the boat without false readings
Shows the bottom up to 90 m (300 ft) ahead of the boat in real time
Provides virtually instant feedback, giving you time to react
See ahead and around your boat. Even when stationary, you can see up to 30 m (100 ft) away with LiveVü Forward
The Panoptix multibeam through-hull transducer with FrontVü forward-facing sonar helps you avoid grounding1 by showing the bottom ahead of your boat in real time on your chartplotter. It also includes LiveVü forward-facing sonar, which offers the unique ability to see fish—or divers, for example—swimming in real time below and ahead of your boat up to 30 m (100 ft) ahead.
Panoptix FrontVü sonar shows the bottom up to 90 m in front of the boat (up to 8 to 10 times the current depth) and provides almost instant feedback, giving you time to react. Now both sailboats and powerboats can navigate narrow passages and unfamiliar waters with optimal confidence. Panoptix FrontVü has a narrow cone width of just 20 degrees, which focuses only on the bottom in front of the boat and is not disturbed by what is on the sides of the boat. It has a built-in AHRS sensor for motion stabilization, which provides reliable indications even in rough weather. Of course, your FrontVü sonar data can be easily shared with other chartplotters in the Garmin marine network.
The Panoptix PS51-TH features a standard 50mm through-hull mount. Displays depth and temperature data and is compatible with all Panoptix-compatible Garmin chartplotters.
With LiveVü Forward, your boat can be moving or stationary. No matter where your trolling motor is pointing, you’ll see a live view of what’s happening underwater. Watch your bait sink and see its depth and movement as you reel in. Watch fish swim and react to your bait. When you get a bite, you can see and feel it! When the fish is hooked, you can follow the fight on screen as it happens. With Panoptix LiveVü Forward, you can see it all up to 100 feet (30 m) away. Live – ordinary sonar is history.
¹The ability to effectively avoid grounding with FrontVü sonar is reduced if speed exceeds 8 knots.
