The elongated festoon shape has contact at both ends and an SV8.5-8 base. This design makes the bulb suitable for fixtures intended for a 31 mm festoon bulb with the same electrical specifications and dimensions.

The bulb can be used as a replacement bulb for Compact 12 navigation lights 11.408.01, 11.408.02, 11.408.03, 11.408.04, 11.408.11, 11.408.12, 11.408.13, 11.408.14, 11.408.61, 11.408.62, 11.408.63, and 11.408.64. These fixtures are specified for 12 V and 10 W.
