This Polastorm brass and rubber hub kit for stainless steel propellers is the F27 variant with 15 splines. The replaceable, shock-absorbing propeller hub is used for mounting a compatible Polastorm propeller with a removable hub on specified Suzuki, BRP, Johnson, and Evinrude outboard motors.
The F27 is designed for a propeller shaft with 15 splines and a gearcase with a foot diameter of 4 1/4" (108 mm). The gearcase diameter is a compatibility measurement and not the outer diameter of the hub kit. Motor brand, motor model, model year, gearcase diameter, and spline count must all match when selecting a hub kit.
For Suzuki, the kit fits the DF115A and DF140A 4-stroke from model year 2013 and later, as well as the DF140 4-stroke from 2002 to 2012. It also fits BRP, Johnson, and Evinrude 140 HP, 4-stroke engines from model years 2002 to 2007.
The hub system is made of brass and rubber and allows for the use of a compatible stainless steel propeller with a replaceable hub. The kit includes a shock-absorbing hub, thrust washer, front washer, spacer, and nut for the documented installation.
The F27 should not be selected based solely on the spline count. Other hub variants may have 15 splines and the same gearcase diameter, but be designed for different engines or model years.
