This PolaStorm PolaFlex propeller hub and damper kit for Tohatsu/Nissan outboard motors, model F15, connects a compatible propeller to the propeller shaft. The kit is designed for 35–50 hp motors with a 3 1/4" (82.6 mm) gearcase and a 13-spline propeller shaft.
PolaFlex is an interchangeable hub system for compatible PolaStorm propellers that must be completed with an engine-specific hub kit. The shock-absorbing rubber bushing with a splined brass metal insert transfers power between the propeller shaft and the propeller, while also contributing to smoother gear engagement, reduced vibration, and energy absorption upon impact.
The kit consists of a hub/damper, thrust washer, front washer, spacer, and nut. It is a complete mounting kit for the specified engine configuration and is not intended as a loose replacement bushing for propellers with permanently pressed-in hubs.
Compatible engine models
Compatibility includes Tohatsu and Nissan 35B up to and including 1984, 40 hp from 1984 and later, and 50 hp from 1992 and later, excluding model 50C. The model designation F15 is the hub kit variant code and does not indicate an engine power of 15 hp. The kit should also not be confused with F15A, which is a different hub variant.
Grease the propeller shaft before assembly and follow the engine manufacturer's instructions for tightening on the specific engine. Check the gearcase diameter, number of splines, engine model, and year before installation.
