This Polastorm Polaflex propeller hub kit model F31 is a complete, replaceable hub and shock-absorbing kit for mounting a compatible Polastorm stainless steel propeller on BRP, Johnson, and Evinrude engines. This variant is intended for propeller shafts with 13 splines, a 4 1/4" (108 mm) gearcase, and engines in the 40–140 hp range.
The kit consists of a shock-absorbing hub component, thrust washer, front washer, spacer, and nut. It is therefore a complete mounting kit and not just the central hub bushing. The F31 is selected based on the engine's gearcase diameter and the number of splines on the propeller shaft.
The hub and shock-absorbing component are made of brass and rubber. The rubber bushing of the Polaflex system provides deflection upon impact and is designed for smoother gear shifting and less vibration than hub systems with plastic bushings.
The hub kit is used to adapt a separate Polastorm propeller to the specific engine and shaft configuration. Therefore, verify the gearcase diameter, engine power, and the 13 splines before installation.
