This Polastorm Saltist duplex stainless steel propeller for Volvo SX/Cobra SX OMC is a 3-blade, right-hand rotation propeller for sterndrives. This variant has a diameter of 14 1/2", a pitch of 21", and a shaft connection with 19 splines.
The propeller is compatible with Volvo Penta SX Sterndrive and OMC Cobra SX from 1994 with a 19-spline propeller shaft and 4 3/4" gearcase. It is designed for drive systems with through-hub exhaust. Please verify that the drive is an SX version with 19 splines, as older Cobra and King Cobra drives may have different shaft connections.
The propeller is manufactured from ASTM A890-4A duplex stainless steel. The alloy's high chromium content contributes to corrosion resistance, while the APC (Aerospace Precision Casting) manufacturing method provides high material density and physical strength. The polished surface gives the propeller a shiny finish.
The Saltist series' high-rake blade geometry, heavy cupping, and spiral exhaust duct are developed for performance-oriented installations. The geometry supports bow lift and reduced slip, but the correct diameter and pitch must always be selected based on the boat, engine, drive, and desired RPM.
The compatible Polaflex F42 hub kit has part no. 52.586.01 and is designed for Volvo SX with 19 splines and a 4 3/4" gearcase. Before ordering, please check whether the hub kit needs to be purchased separately for the current installation.
