This Polastorm Sema stainless steel propeller for Suzuki 40–140 hp is a 3-blade, counter-rotating propeller with a diameter of 14″ and a pitch of 21″. The variant is intended for installations with a 4¼″ gearcase and can be used where counter-rotation is required, for example as a counter-rotating propeller in a relevant twin-engine installation.
The propeller is manufactured from ASTM A890 Grade 4A duplex stainless steel. The high chromium content provides good corrosion resistance, while APC manufacturing (Aerospace Precision Casting) contributes to high material density and physical strength.
The Sema propeller uses an engine-specific, interchangeable hub system and is supplied without a central hub/slip clutch kit. The correct hub kit must be ordered separately and selected according to the engine, engine power, propeller shaft, number of splines, and gearcase. The number of splines is therefore not a fixed characteristic of the propeller itself.
The propeller is recommended for Suzuki engines in the 40–140 hp power range, but this is not a complete list of engine models. It cannot be used for OMC/Johnson or 2-stroke Suzuki engines with a 13-spline propeller shaft. Hub kit F25 with item no. 52.582.03 is documented for Suzuki DF70A, DF80A, and DF90A 4-stroke from 2009 with 15 splines and a 4¼″ gearcase, but it is not automatically correct for all engines in the power range.
The opposite-rotating sister variant with the same diameter and pitch has item no. 52.553.05. The choice of rotation direction must always be matched to the specific engine installation.
