Polastorm Soltiga 3 propeller in duplex stainless steel is a three-blade boat propeller with a diameter of 15 1/4″ and a pitch of 22″. The propeller is developed for marine propulsion with a 4 3/4″ gearcase and utilizes an interchangeable, engine-specific hub system.
The propeller is manufactured from duplex stainless steel according to the material standard ASTM A890 Grade 4A. The high chromium content provides high corrosion resistance, while the APC casting technology, Aerospace Precision Casting, contributes to high material density and physical strength.
Soltiga 3 has three blades and an application profile comparable to Solas Lexor and Solas Rubex L3. This variant is recommended for 175/225 hp Suzuki engines as well as engines from all brands of 250 hp and above. However, final compatibility depends on the engine, gearcase, propeller shaft, spline count, and the selected hub kit.
The propeller is delivered without a central hub and shock-absorbing insert. A suitable Polastorm hub kit must therefore be ordered separately. Documented 4 3/4″ kits include F21 with item no. 52.580.02, F23 with item no. 52.581.03, F28 with item no. 52.582.06, F29 with item no. 52.583.02, and F42 with item no. 52.586.01. The correct kit is selected based on engine make, model, gearcase, and propeller shaft.
The hub kits include a shock-absorbing brass and rubber hub as well as the necessary thrust parts, washer, spacer, and nut. The interchangeable hub system makes it possible to adapt the propeller blade unit to the documented engine installation without changing the propeller itself.
