This Polastorm Soltiga 3 duplex stainless steel propeller is a replaceable, 3-blade motorboat propeller with a diameter of 15 1/4″ and a pitch of 24″. The pitch corresponds to a theoretical forward movement of 609.6 mm per revolution.
The propeller is manufactured from ASTM A890-4A duplex stainless steel. The material's high chromium content contributes to high corrosion resistance, while APC (Aerospace Precision Casting) provides high material density and physical strength.
The Soltiga 3 is designed as a hubless propeller and is supplied without a hub or shock-absorbing insert. A motor-specific hub kit must therefore be ordered separately and selected based on engine brand, engine model, propeller shaft, number of splines, and gearcase.
This variant is intended for engines of 115 hp and above with a 4 3/4″ gearcase. It is specifically recommended for Suzuki 175/225 hp as well as engines of all brands from 250 hp and up. The propeller profile is indicated as equivalent to Solas Lexor and Solas Rubex L3, but the choice of hub kit and final fit must still be verified separately.
Documented 4 3/4″ hub kits include, among others, item no. 52.580.02 and 52.580.03 for various Mercury applications, 52.581.03 for Yamaha, 52.582.06 for BRP, Johnson, Evinrude, and Suzuki, as well as 52.586.01 for Volvo SX Sterndrive from 1994. Item no. 52.583.02 is also listed as a 4 3/4″ variant with 15 splines. The correct kit always depends on the specific engine and propeller shaft.
