This Polastorm Soltiga 3 stainless steel propeller is a 3-blade, counter-rotating (left-hand) propeller with a diameter of 15 1/4" and a pitch of 19". It is designed for outboard motors and compatible drives with a 4 3/4" gearcase, where a separate engine-specific hub kit is used for installation.
The propeller is manufactured from ASTM A890-4A duplex stainless steel. The high chromium content contributes to the material's corrosion resistance, while APC manufacturing using Aerospace Precision Casting provides high material density and physical strength. The propellers also undergo solution heat treatment. The surface is polished.
The Soltiga 3 geometry combines a large diameter and large blade surface area with a focus on acceleration, control at low RPMs, and use on boats with a high power-to-weight ratio. This variant is comparable to the Solas Lexor and Solas Rubex L3, but the comparison does not imply that hubs or mounting parts are directly interchangeable.
The propeller family is designed for engines from 115 HP and up with a 4 3/4" gearcase. The variant is specifically recommended for Suzuki 175-225 HP as well as engines of all brands from 250 HP and up. Documented hub applications include Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Johnson/Evinrude, OMC/Cobra, Tohatsu, and Volvo Penta SX. Final compatibility always depends on the engine, gearcase, shaft diameter, number of splines, and the selected hub kit.
The propeller is supplied without a hub or tear-stopper. The correct hub kit must be ordered separately. Documented hub kits in the 4 3/4" group include item no. 52.580.02 for Mercury with 15 splines, 52.580.03 for Mercury with 19 splines, 52.581.03 for Yamaha, 52.583.02 for Tohatsu/Nissan, 52.582.06 for BRP/Johnson/Evinrude, and 52.586.01 for Volvo Penta SX with 19 splines. Only the kit matching the specific engine and shaft configuration may be used.
