This Polastorm Star stainless steel propeller is a 3-blade, left-hand rotation blade unit for outboard motors. This variant has a diameter of 13″, a pitch of 19″, and is intended for the 40–140 HP engine group with a 4 1/4″ gearcase.
The propeller is manufactured from duplex stainless steel in grade ASTM A890-A4. The high chromium content contributes to high corrosion resistance, while the APC process – Aerospace Precision Casting – provides high material density and physical strength.
The Star series uses an interchangeable, engine-specific hub and damper system. The propeller blade is supplied without a hub and damper, so the correct Polastorm hub kit must be ordered separately according to engine manufacturer, engine model, HP, gearcase, propeller shaft spline count, and model year if applicable.
The series is recommended for engines from Yamaha, Selva, Mercury, Honda, and Tohatsu when using the correct engine-specific hub kit. The blade profile is comparable to the Solas New Saturn and Solas Rubex NS3, but this is not a guarantee of direct fitment or documentation for a specific OEM number.
The Star series comes with a spacer, which is installed in front of the propeller. The exception is installations on OMC/Johnson as well as 2-stroke Suzuki with a 13-tooth shaft. Always check the engine model, gearcase, shaft, spline count, and the selected hub kit before installation.
