This Polastorm Stella 3-blade propeller in duplex stainless steel is an interchangeable propeller for outboard engines. The variant has a diameter of 11 1/2″ and a pitch of 11″, corresponding to 292.1 mm and 279.4 mm respectively.
The propeller is manufactured from duplex stainless steel according to ASTM A890-4A. The material's high chromium content contributes to increased corrosion resistance. The APC manufacturing process, Aerospace Precision Casting, is developed for high material density and physical strength.
The Stella profile has three blades and is profile-equivalent to the Solas New Saturn and Solas Rubex NS3. This is a profile comparison and not an indication of a specific OEM or spare part number.
The propeller uses an interchangeable, engine-specific hub and damper system. A central hub and damper are not included, and the correct hub kit must therefore be selected based on engine make, engine model, shaft, number of splines, and gearcase diameter.
Compatibility via separate hub kit
The propeller family is recommended for Suzuki, Yamaha, and Selva outboard engines when using an appropriate hub kit. For Yamaha, the Polastorm F12 hub kit, item no. 52.581.01, can be used for documented engines of 25–60 HP with 13 splines and a 3 1/2″ gearcase. This includes T25 from 2010, F30 from 2001–2005, 40/C40 from 1984, F40 from 1999, 48 HP from 1995–2000, 50 HP excluding T50 from 1984, F50 from 1995, 55 HP from 1976–1995, 60 HP from 1976–1991, and F60 from 1999.
For Suzuki, the Polastorm F13 hub kit, item no. 52.582.01, can be used for documented engines of 35–65 HP with 13 splines and a 3 1/4″ gearcase. This includes DT35C from 1987–1989, DT40 from 1983–1998, DF40 from 1999–2000, DF40A from 2010, DT50/DT50M from 1983–1984, DF50 from 1999, DF50A from 2010, DT55 from 1985–1997, DT60 from 1983–1984, DF60A from 2010, and DT65 from 1985–1997. Use for Selva requires similar verification of engine and hub kit.
