This Polastorm Stella 3-blade duplex stainless steel propeller for 25–70 hp is a propeller variant for outboard motors. It has a diameter of 11 5/8" and a pitch of 12" and is intended for use with a separate, engine-specific Polaflex hub/cushion kit.
The propeller has three blades and a profile similar to the Solas New Saturn and Solas Rubex NS3. The diameter is 11 5/8", equivalent to 295.275 mm, while the pitch is 12", equivalent to 304.8 mm. The combination of diameter and pitch should be selected based on the engine, boat type, load, and desired engine RPM.
The propeller is manufactured from solution-annealed ASTM A890-4A duplex stainless steel. The material has a tensile strength of 680 MPa, a yield strength of 450 MPa, an elongation of 25%, and a hardness of 26 HRC. The material composition is developed for strength and corrosion resistance in marine applications.
The interchangeable hub system makes it possible to combine the propeller with a hub/cushion kit that fits the specific propeller shaft. The propeller is supplied without a central hub and cushion, so the correct kit must be ordered separately. The design also includes a spiral-shaped through-hub exhaust.
The propeller family is specified for a 3 1/4" gearcase and recommended for Suzuki, Yamaha, and Selva in the 25–70 hp power range. Engine make and horsepower are not sufficient on their own to determine compatibility. Check the gearcase diameter, number of splines, engine model, year, and the required hub kit before purchasing.
