This Polastorm Stella stainless steel propeller is a 3-blade single propeller in size 13 1/4 x 17 for outboard motors and compatible sterndrives in the 40-140 hp power range. The propeller is designed for a 4 1/4" gearcase and features right-hand rotation.
The propeller diameter is 13 1/4", while the pitch is 17". The pitch corresponds to a theoretical forward movement of 431.8 mm per revolution without slip. The propeller is manufactured from solution-annealed ASTM A890 Grade 4A duplex stainless steel using precision casting. The material has a documented tensile strength of 680 MPa, yield strength of 450 MPa, elongation at break of 25%, and a hardness of 26 HRC. The high-gloss polished surface and the composition of the duplex steel provide corrosion resistance for maritime use.
The interchangeable hub system allows the propeller to be adapted to the specific engine using a motor-specific hub kit. The hub and shock-absorbing hub insert are not included and must be ordered separately. The correct hub depends, among other things, on engine make, engine model, power, year, number of splines, and gearcase.
The Stella series utilizes a spiral-fluted through-hub exhaust design. A spacer is included for installation in front of the propeller, though not for OMC/Johnson and Suzuki 2-stroke engines with a 13-spline shaft.
