Quicksilver Premium Gear Lube SAE 80W-90 is a marine gear oil for gearcases and jet pumps on outboard engines under 75 hp. It is supplied in a 237 ml tube, which is suitable for direct filling of the gearcase.
The specialized additive package protects gears, bearings, and other loaded components against heavy wear. The formulation also provides protection in the presence of water, counteracts corrosion and pitting, and contributes to extending the service life of the gear.
Quicksilver's capacity guide specifies application for selected Mercury and Mariner 2-stroke engines from 2.2 to 60 hp as well as Force 2-stroke engines of 5, 9.9, 15, 25, 40, and 50 hp. The guide also covers specified Mercury and Mariner FourStroke variants from 2.5 to 60 hp with standard, EFI, or BigFoot gearcases. Always check the engine model, gearcase variant, and lubricant requirements before filling.
The Quicksilver item number is 92-8M0121963 with core number 8M0121963. The product replaces the previous number 92-802844Q02. Premium Gear Lube must not be mixed with Quicksilver High Performance Gear Lube.
