This Raymarine RayMic 10 m extension cable is used to extend the wired connection between a compatible VHF radio and a RayMic handset at a secondary station. The cable has manufacturer part number A80292 and allows for the handset to be placed up to 10 m from the relevant connection point.
The extension cable is compatible with the Raymarine Ray60, Ray63, Ray70, Ray73, Ray90 and Ray91, as well as the wired RayMic handset A80289. It can also be used with the RayMic secondary station, item no. 29.720.06, for the Ray63 and Ray73. With the correct system setup, the RayMic handset can function as a fully operational additional VHF station.
The cable uses the RayMic system's proprietary wired secondary station connection. When connecting, remove any dust caps, orient the plugs correctly and push them fully together, then tighten the locking collars clockwise. Correct orientation of the plugs is important to avoid damaging the connection.
The extension cable is supplied as a separate accessory and is not included with the RayMic secondary station, item no. 29.720.06. Alternative manufacturer variants are the 5 m A80291 and the 15 m A80290. For a complete installation, the R70438 panel/bulkhead mounting kit, the A80297 adapter cable, and the T70432 complete secondary station kit are also available, among others.
This product should not be confused with A46056, which is a different 10 m cable system for the Ray55 and Ray218, or with cables for the RayMic260. It is also not intended as an extension cable for a standard Fistmic handset.
