This polycarbonate spare cover with gasket is a replacement part for the engine cooling water filters with item nos. 17.641.02 and 17.641.03. The spare part is used as a screw-on cover for the filter and is supplied with the corresponding gasket.
The cover is made of polycarbonate and is part of filters mounted on the engine's water or cooling water intake. It provides access to the filter area when the filter needs to be checked or serviced.
Compatibility includes filter 17.641.02 with G 1 1/4" connections and filter 17.641.03 with G 1 1/2" connections. The connection sizes apply to the complete filters and not the spare cover itself.
The cover does not fit the smaller filters 17.641.00 and 17.641.01, which use spare cover 17.641.06. The documented spare filter element for 17.641.02 and 17.641.03 has item no. 17.641.09.
