This lifebuoy is a ring-shaped flotation device for maritime safety equipment. The orange finish makes the buoy highly visible, while the rigid, foam-filled construction is intended for use as rescue equipment for a person in the water.
The buoy is made of orange Eltex and filled with expanded polyurethane. It is equipped with a white grab line, which allows the person in the water to hold on along the outside of the buoy.
The dimension notation is Ø 40 × 60 cm, and the external diameter is approx. 60 cm. The design is in accordance with the former Italian ministerial decree D.M. 20/4/78. MED and RINA approval are not specified for this variant.
Reflective tape is not included but can be retrofitted. The compatible reflective tape set with item no. 22.407.11 consists of four 40 cm reflective strips and is specifically intended for this lifebuoy.
