Riviera Aries 2½″ magnetic compass with bayonet mount is a surface-mounted marine compass with a white housing and white compass card. This Aries BAR variant is intended for maritime heading reference on powerboats and sailboats and can be used on both standard and high-speed boats.
The compass is mounted on a flat surface without the need for flush mounting or a large central panel cutout. The bayonet connection secures the compass to the mounting base and allows it to be released again when removal is desired.
The conical compass card has a visible diameter of 2½″, corresponding to 65 mm, and is graduated in 5° increments. The front-reading display provides a direct view of the heading, while the movement of the compass card is based on a pivot/jewel bearing system.
The base measures Ø 100 mm, and the stated product height is 60 mm. The variant is supplied without lighting and therefore requires no electrical power connection.
The Aries series is 100% manufactured in Italy and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. The Riviera manufacturer number for this all-white variant with a white compass card is 62.00405.12.
Mounting plate 61.01054.00 is documented as a separate accessory for the Aries BAR and can be used if an additional or replacement mounting plate is required.
