Riviera Aries 2½" magnetic compass with bayonet mount is a surface-mounted boat compass with a black compass card and an all-white housing. The compass is designed for front reading and can be used on both standard and high-speed boats.
The model is mounted without recessing into the dashboard. The bayonet base makes the compass removable, which is practical when the instrument needs to be taken off for storage or transport. The mounting bracket is included and is also available separately as Riviera 61.01054.00.
The visible compass card has a diameter of 65 mm, equivalent to 2½", and is graduated every 5°. The anti-reflective dome supports clear direct reading, while the jewel-and-pivot movement gives the compass card a precise needle and pivot suspension.
The compass has an external base diameter of 100 mm and a product height of 60 mm. The Aries series has a built-in compensation adjustment, allowing the compass to be adjusted for local magnetic deviation after installation.
The model can be used without separate type approval for navigation within 6 nautical miles. The compass is manufactured and handmade in Italy and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
