Riviera Aries 2½" marine compass with bayonet base is a magnetic steering and navigation compass with front reading. This version features a black compass card, white housing, and black base, and is designed for motorboats and sailboats, including high-speed boats.
The visible compass card has a diameter of 65 mm and is graduated every 5°. Course references every 30° make it easier to read and maintain a desired course. The conical compass card moves on a pivot/jewel suspension, and the built-in magnetic compensation allows for the correction of local magnetic interference on board. An anti-glare screen supports clear reading under changing light conditions.
The compass is mounted directly onto a flat surface and therefore requires no mounting hole in the dashboard. The included bayonet base provides a detachable mount, allowing the compass to be quickly removed from the mounting location. It can be placed at the steering position, on the dashboard, or on a steering pedestal.
The base has a diameter of 100 mm, and the product height is 60 mm. The compact surface mount is suitable where a fixed built-in compass is not desired or where the compass needs to be removable after use.
The Aries 2½" BAR is manufactured in Italy and comes with a 3-year warranty. The model combines direct reading, precise 5° graduation, magnetic compensation, and a detachable bayonet mount in a compact marine compass.
