This Riviera Comet 2″ magnetic compass is a marine compass in a grey finish for flush mounting on boats. The BC1 model is designed for direct, front-reading and can be used on both standard boats and high-speed crafts.
The black compass card has a visible diameter of 48 mm and a 5° scale graduation. An anti-glare screen reduces distracting reflections, while the jewel and pivot suspension supports the movement of the compass card. The compass card is liquid-damped.
The compass is mounted directly on a flat surface without a bracket. The flush-mounted variant has a maximum diameter of 80 mm and a height of 50 mm. No separate adapter or electrical accessory is specified for installation.
The Comet series is intended for marine navigation and does not require special approval for navigation within 6 nautical miles. This model is manufactured in Italy and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
