This Riviera hand bearing compass with soft casing is the Mizar model in a red finish. The magnetic, portable marine compass is designed for hand bearing and navigation on, among other things, small boats, as well as for use as an emergency compass and for surfing.
The compass can be read from both the front and from above and features a black compass rose with cardinal directions and degree markings. The Mizar model is equipped with a fixed ring and a sighting device for bearing. The compass rose has a nominal visible diameter of 1” 7/8, corresponding to approximately 47.6 mm.
The impact-resistant and buoyant construction is well-suited for use close to the water, as the compass can float if dropped overboard. The compass rose moves on a pivot/needle suspension, and the included neck strap allows the compass to be carried securely and kept within reach.
The product measures 80 mm in height, 60 mm in width, and 23 mm in depth. It is handheld and requires no fixed installation, power supply, or other connections.
The manufacturer number for this red Mizar variant with a black compass rose is 62.00420.02.
