This Riviera BP1 3″ bulkhead-mount magnetic compass from the Pegasus series is a magnetic steering compass for vertical installation in bulkheads, consoles, or instrument panels. This version features a black housing, a red compass card, and a visible compass card diameter of 80 mm.
The compass features front reading, 5° graduation, and a red lubber line, allowing the course to be read directly from the helm. An integrated clinometer shows the boat's heeling angle, while the internal gimbal suspension keeps the compass system properly oriented during movement.
The integrated LED lighting can be connected to 12 or 24 V and allows for reading in the dark. The model also has a built-in magnetic compensator for correcting deviations caused by metal and electrical equipment on board. The construction is fully modular and can be opened for service and repair.
Installation requires a panel cutout of Ø116 mm. The four mounting holes are Ø2.5 mm and positioned on a Ø126 mm bolt circle at 90° intervals. During installation, remove the cover and carefully loosen the front flange through the marked K1 hole. Avoid using excessive force, as the flange's locking system may be damaged.
The BP1 model is intended for both standard vessels and high-speed boats. A rear cover and protective cover are included. A spare cover for 3″ compasses is available separately as item no. 25.020.20, and a plastic protective dome for the BP1 is available as item no. 25.019.01.
The compass is manufactured in Italy and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. A MED-certified version can be supplied upon request, but the standard product is not documented as MED-certified.
