This Riviera Stella 2½″ magnetic compass is a compact, direct front-reading boat compass for maritime navigation. The BS1 variant features a white housing and a white compass card with a visible diameter of 65 mm.
The compass card is graduated in 5° intervals, while the needle/jewel bearing provides the magnetic compass card with free movement. An anti-glare screen improves readability in distracting light, and the integrated expansion chamber handles any bubbles in the compass fluid.
The BS1 version is intended for surface mounting on, for example, a console, dashboard, or deck. The compass is secured with a bayonet mount, which makes it quickly detachable from the mounting base and eliminates the need for a large installation hole.
The compass has an outer diameter of approx. 88 mm and a height of approx. 70 mm. It is manufactured in Italy and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
The model is intended for both standard and high-speed boats. The magnetic direction indicator does not require an electrical power supply.
