This Riviera Zenit 3″ flush-mount compass with telescopic anti-glare cover is a magnetic marine compass for horizontal, flush mounting in a dashboard or console. The BZ1 model features a flat, black compass card for reading from above and a black housing.
The visible compass card has a diameter of 80 mm and a graduation of 5°. The white lubber line provides a clear reference for course reading, while the internal gimbal system stabilizes the compass movement. Built-in manual compensation allows for adjustment after installation.
The telescopic cover encloses the compass and acts as both a protective cover and an anti-glare shield. The compass has 12 V lighting and is intended for marine navigation at both standard speeds and on high-speed boats over 25 knots.
The version with cover has a maximum external diameter of 152 mm and a total height of 131 mm. The mounting depth below the mounting surface is 65 mm, and the required cutout diameter is 89 mm.
The compass should be mounted as far as practically possible from magnetic fields, electrical equipment, and movable ferrous objects. Professional compensation and adjustment are recommended after installation. Check the vessel's supply voltage before connecting the documented 12 V lighting.
The compass is hand-built in Italy, 100% repairable, and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. MED certification according to Directive 2014/90/EU can be ordered as a factory option with the compass, but is not automatically included with this variant.
