Riviera Zenith BZ2 3″ high-speed marine compass with bracket is a magnetic steering compass for course determination and navigation on motorboats and sailboats. This BZ2/AVB variant features a flat blue compass card, white housing, and 12 V LED lighting, allowing the course to be read in the dark.
The high-speed version is designed for fast boats and use at speeds around and above 25 knots. The 80 mm compass card is graduated in 5° intervals. The compass features internal gimbal suspension, an anti-glare screen, and rear reading.
The built-in compass compensator can be used to reduce local magnetic deviation from electronic equipment and metal parts around the mounting location. The compass should be placed as far as practically possible from magnetic fields and moving ferrous objects. After installation, professional compensation is recommended, and the supply voltage must be checked before connecting the lighting.
The bracket can be mounted on horizontal, inclined, or vertical surfaces. The compass has a total width of 155 mm including the bracket and a total height of 147 mm. The compass housing and dome itself have a height of 124 mm.
The Zenith 3″ series is recommended for boats up to 8 meters. The construction is demountable and repairable, and the compass comes with a 3-year warranty. A protective cover for the Zenith series is available separately as Riviera item no. 62.00064.01.
The compass is type-approved according to Italian Ministerial Order 388 of September 29, 1999. Individual MED certification and associated documentation are not provided as standard for this variant.
