Rubex RBX interchangeable propeller hub kit, model RBX-107, forms the shock- and vibration-absorbing connection between a compatible Rubex propeller and the propeller shaft. The kit is designed for documented Honda and Tohatsu/Nissan engines with 15 splines, as well as Rubex propellers in the relevant category D and E applications.
The elastic, rubber-based hub features an aluminum core. This design centers the propeller and dampens vibrations, noise, rattling, and stress from gear shifting. The elastic movement also reduces shock impact on the propeller shaft upon contact with underwater objects. The hub is not designed to rotate or slip inside the propeller.
RBX-107 is used with a 4-1/4" gearcase in propeller category D or a 4-3/4" gearcase in propeller category E, depending on the engine. The kit fits, among others, Honda BFP60, BF75, BF80, BF90, BF100, BF115, BF130, and BF135-BF250 within the documented model years. It is also compatible with Tohatsu/Nissan BFT115-BFT250 from 2014 and later. For Honda BF75 and BF90, compatibility applies from 1999 and later.
The kit includes a thrust washer, RBX hub, aft spacer, and installation instructions. The shaft nut and cotter pin are original engine parts and are not included. The aft spacer is used as needed in accordance with the engine manual.
The hub is inserted from the boat side of the propeller, so that the hub splines face the front of the propeller and the blade tips. It is pressed or carefully tapped into place until it is flush with the propeller hub cavity. The propeller shaft must be lubricated before installation, and the shaft nut must be tightened to the torque specified in the engine manual.
RBX-107 can be used for New Saturn and HR TITAN Rubex propellers. If a propeller is replaced after damage, the hub can be reused, provided that it is not damaged itself. The aluminum hub has manufacturer no. 17015300, while the kit's hub part, thrust washer, and spacer have component numbers 81023150, 81013460, and 81053150.

Honda with 4-1/4" gearcase: BFP60 from 2010, BF75 and BF90 from 1999, BF80 and BF100 from 2013, BF115 from 1998-2010, and BF130 from 1998-2004.
