This SCANSTRUT Flip Pro flush mount socket in the Duo version combines a USB-A charging port, a USB-C charging port, and a 12 V DC power socket in one compact unit. The Flip Pro Duo is intended for flush mounting in marine and outdoor installations where both mobile device charging and 12 V accessory power are required.
The USB-A and USB-C ports can be used simultaneously and support QC and PD compatible devices. The USB charger can be connected to 12 or 24 V DC systems and has a proven input range of 10–32 V DC as well as a maximum input current of 6 A. The USB-A port delivers up to 36 W. The USB-C port delivers up to 36 W on a 12 V system and up to 60 W on a 24 V system. The corresponding cable for the device being charged should be used to achieve the best possible charging performance.
The separate power socket is intended for 12 V DC and operates within 10–15 V DC with a maximum current of 10 A. When installed in a 24 V system, the USB charger can be connected directly, while the 12 V power socket requires a suitable voltage converter. The USB charger and power socket have separate electrical connections via 6.3 × 0.8 mm spade terminals, allowing the supplies to be fused and switched according to the needs of the installation.
The spring-loaded flip covers close over the sockets when not in use. The front is IPX4-rated with the covers closed when the unit is correctly mounted on a completely flat, smooth, and non-porous surface. The construction is UV-resistant, and the hinges and springs are made of 316 stainless steel. For external mounting, the unit must be placed securely above the waterline and must not be submersible.
Mounting can be performed from the front using the front mount bezel or from behind with the included locking rings. The unit requires two Ø32 mm mounting holes with 38 mm center spacing and can be mounted in panels with a thickness of 3–25 mm. The front without the wide mounting bezel measures approx. 80.0 × 44.1 mm. The total depth to the terminal tips is approx. 79.7 mm, while the housing depth excluding terminal tips is approx. 62.0 mm.
The scope of delivery consists of the combination socket, gasket, two locking rings, front mount bezel, four no. 6 × 20 mm screws, and two screw covers. For front mounting, four pilot holes and silicone sealant around the screws and holes are used. The power supply must be disconnected during installation, polarity must be checked, and each supply must be protected with a suitable fuse or circuit breaker. The product must not be installed in hazardous or flammable atmospheres, including engine compartments.
